Ingredients

Corn-fed free range chicken (81%), Water, Herb Garlic & Lemon stuffing (7%) [ Breadcrumbs (Maize Flour, Rice Flour, Salt, Canola Oil, Emulsifier (471), Dextrose), Dehydrated Onion, Herbs (Rosemary, Thyme, Parsley), Salt, Sugar, Dehydrated Garlic, Lemon Extract], Salt, Spice Extracts, Potato Starch, Sugar, Citrus Fibre. 

CONTAINS: GLUTEN CONTAINING CEREALS (WHEAT)

Handling Instructions

  • Use separate boards for chopping raw chicken and other foods.
  • Wash hands and equipment thoroughly in hot soapy water after handling raw chicken.
  • Do not place cooked product on plates used for raw chicken.

Storage instructions

If Fresh

  • Consume by the Best Before Date indicated

If Frozen

  • Consume within 12 months from the Best Before Date indicated
  • Thaw frozen chicken completely in a refrigerator.
  • Do not thaw chicken on a bench or under running water.
  • Once thawed, cook within 24 hours.
  • Do not refreeze after thawing.

Cooking Instructions 

THIS CHICKEN IS PREPARED IN A READY TO COOK, OVENABLE BAG, JUST PUT THE WHOLE BAG IN AN OVEN PROOF DISH.
PIERCE THE BAG WITH A SMALL HOLE PRIOR TO COOKING.
FOR CRISPY SKIN: Carefully remove the bag from oven, cut the bag across top and place back in over for final 20 minutes of cooking.
THIS IS A RAW PRODUCT AND MUST BE FULLY COOKED BEFORE CONSUMPTION

  • This is a raw product and must be fully cooked before consumption.
  • Preheat oven to 180°C (360°F), if fan forced preheat oven to 160°C (320°F).  Oven rack should be in the middle of oven.
  • Put the whole bag in the oven in an oven proof dish.
  • Place oven proof dish on middle rack in the oven
  • Cook at the preheated temperature for 85 – 90 minutes.
  • A useful guide is to cook until the juices run clear. Best Practice is to use a meat thermometer and check the internal temperature has reached 82°C.
  • Remove chicken from oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes before carving
